On Friday, Beau and I had some friends come to town for a pack walk.
Hadley and Rocket are in my training class on Wednesdays.

Hadley has her BN title and is one of her owners is my private trainer that helped me get Beau to this point. Rocket is one leg from his CD title, which is amazing since he is very skittish and nervous. I was amazed at how well he did on this walk, with all the sudden and startling noises.

Argos was in my first puppy kindergarten (he got so big) and Winston is working on his BN. Both Argos and Winnie’s owners assisted in puppy kindergarten.

I’d planned on Georgetown as our destination but gave options, so the group decided on DuPont Circle, which was way more challenging due to the rattier neighborhood (like, actual rats), a larger homeless population, and lots of tourist foot traffic, especially on our way home. 

I am not sure who had more fun, the dogs or the humans!

It was a bit of a circus atmosphere and lots of people stopped us to chat about Winston, the Clumber spaniel, Argos, the white Swiss shepherd, or Beau. We stopped for refreshments and I found out that Starbucks allows dogs inside, at least that’s what the barista told me.

After pup cups, we headed back via Connecticut Ave and the National Zoo. It was a lot busier than expected and all the dogs did very well navigating the people, strollers, scooters, dogs, etc.

7 miles, tired dogs, and a wonderful way to cap off 2022 dog-centric events!
