Beau and I had our private training consultation with a fantastic guy name Clover Street. He is the real deal owner of Marathon K9 in Aberdeen, NC.
We begin our lessons in a few weeks and I am excited to get back to serious dog training. Beau is so smart and it has been so long since I engaged in true obedience training for the ring that I know I am rusty.
On the health front, Beau had a rough go with his tummy but it turned out to be giardia, which is what I suspected. The vet would not test for it until I specifically asked (which frustrates me) but they did and now Beau has a course of medicine which will resolve the issue pretty quickly.
Given how quickly he is growing, I’ve been hard pressed to find a winter coat that fits him today and will fit him when we get back to DC in February. I think I may have to go the custom route.
His ears are coming along nicely and I am forever grateful to Carmen at Allure Dobermans in Sanford for letting Beau and I invade her home for a private lesson on how to post ears. Once she showed me some expert tips, it has gotten a lot easier. We still have a way to go, but progress is being made!!
